This role will perform first line reviews of sanctions, politically exposed persons, and negative media screenings of Paxful users .You will be based out of our Manila and report to our Associate Director, Compliance-AML.As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will entail:Review.Perform first line reviews of sanctionsInvestigate.Investigate politically exposed personsScreen. Founded and led by a market-savvy international management team offering resounding credentials, the sector-agnostic platform aims to generate long-term returns via growth investments. The firm has secured a number of high-calibre personnel, however, additional hires are required to complete the core team including the appointment of an Investment Analyst or Associate.The PositionsReporting to the Executive Management team, the appointed individual will enjoy multi-faceted responsibility consisting of economic, market and industry sector evaluation, financial modelling (including the review of financial statements of target investment opportunities), investment due diligence, the development and presentation of Investment Memos and subsequent financial structuring and transaction execution for each approved deal. The hands-on nature of the operating environment will require direct liaison with key internal and external stakeholders throughout the deal process. The focus will be toward investment in long-term, value-added growth investments as well as potential buy-out opportunities.This is an excellent opportunity for junior, mid-level and senior Myanmar nationals to join a Myanmar-focused PE firm at its early stage of capital deployment whilst working to international standards of excellence.The PeopleInterested candidates should ideally be local or repatriate Myanmar nationals who offer good Degree and/or Masters in Business, Economics or Finance from a noted University. Analysts will require a minimum of 1-2 years, and Associates a minimum of 3 years, international or local experience (investment analysis, business analysis, management consulting) gained in Private Equity/Venture Capital, Big Four (Valuations / M&A transactions teams), Investment Banking or Corporate Finance. In particular, interested candidates must be self-driven, resourceful to source and analyse data and able to multi-task whilst working under pressure to meet deadlines. There will be a strong preference toward candidates able to process abstract information and investment ideas whilst comfortable performing reviews of the competitive landscape. Interested candidates should be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and preferably offering an accounting/finance background as a foundation (with strong financial modelling).
