Considered a rapidly growing and highly progressive Group, its flagship pharmaceutical business is poised to enjoy substantial domestic and international growth. Following a substantial capital investment, the business now consists of an in-country, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility focused toward drug and health supplements, a well-established sales and marketing team, international business development for export growth and all fully-supported by appropriate cGMP and FDA accreditations that instils confidence among its local and international partners. The company is now ready to appoint a seasoned CEO with a mission to grow and optimise all aspects of the business whilst driving P&L.
Reporting to the Board, the appointed individual will enjoy a strategic role for long-term sales growth and new market penetration and be fully responsible for the commercial, technical and financial success of the business. This will include oversight of all critical manufacturing operations and a drive to optimise production capacity, cycle time and yield whilst sustaining quality and safety standards within a cGMP facility as well as meeting local and international regulatory standards. The CEO will be expected to drive appropriate product-related market research and sales, ensuring cross-functional alignment of demand forecasts with production efficiency through effective and timely domestic and international distribution. This will necessarily include a need to manage commercial negotiations with new and existing customers, manufacturing/engineering vendors, distribution partners/agents whilst also supporting new product development initiatives.
Interested candidates should offer a Degree (Scientific field or Business) and ideally complemented by an MBA and at least 8+ years as a CEO within a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment and a proven track record of driving top- and bottom-line sales and profitability. There will be a concurrent need to demonstrate a proven capability of driving operational excellence across all key facets of the business (sales, manufacturing, distribution, supply chain and finance) secured during previous junior- and middle-management rotations.
