We have an excellent career opportunity for an Applications Specialist in our Microbiology & Diagnostics Division supporting our customers, as well as sales and service teams across the Nordics and Baltics. The role has arisen due to continued success in business growth and product development. The professional in question can be based in either Sweden or Denmark.

The key focus of the position is growing our systems and consumables revenue in the Nordics and Baltics by pre-sales activities to support the local sales team, demonstration of our technologies to the customers, application support, and customer training.


  • Pre-sales support by joining the Bruker Nordic sales team at customer sites for sales visits and sales discussions about Bruker’s solutions
  • Sales support and lead generation by demonstrating the usage at customer sites during trainings, support, events etc.
  • Demonstration of Bruker’s solutions in the Bruker Bremen demo lab, or at customer sites in the Nordics and Baltics
  • Processing sample evaluations for customers and generating result reports; presentation of the results to the customers, either on-site or on-line
  • Active participation in conferences, seminars, and exhibitions, including booth duty and consultation for interested prospects
  • Providing high level and quality customer training
  • Technical support of our customers and enabling them to fully explore the capabilities of their instrument investments and application support
  • Practical experience in using MALDI technology
  • Background in Microbiology & Diagnostics including bacterial ID, sepsis workflow, and antibiotic susceptibility testing
  • Excellent ability and willingness to communicate and closely interact with our customers
  • Fluency in English, knowledge of Swedish or Danish is highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel within the Nordics and Baltics for approx. 50% of the time; international travels possible as well (internal trainings and meetings, participation in instrument demonstrations in the European lab in Bremen, Germany; potential support of other territories on a case-by-case basis)
  • Experienced PC user with knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to continuously support customers via emails and phone calls in a timely manner
  • High customer orientation
  • Flexibility, the ability to work in a team, self-motivation, and commitment
