The team

Our Sales and Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the DocuSign Agreement Cloud to transform the entire system of agreement process—from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing contracts and other types of agreements. Our team’s partner with some of the largest most innovative companies in the world in dozens of industries to bring the power of DocuSign to more customers. Whether you are selling to a small business or a large enterprise, you will apply your extensive knowledge of our solutions, and leverage our strategic partnerships to help our customers grow their top and bottom line.

This Position

The ideal candidate must possess the ability to drive sustainable revenue growth and motivate a sales team including Regional Vice President (RVP), Sales Managers and Account Executives (AE's) to achieve sales quota across Asia. Key markets within Asia include Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and the Philippines across all customer segments - from SMB through to Enterprise accounts.

This sales leader must be able to identify and test new growth opportunities and new investments that will drive sales efficiency and impact. They must also measure, monitor and hold teams accountable for their activities and results, as well as lead by example.

The candidate is also required to assist in deal strategy sessions with AE's and first line leaders, assist in account health monitoring, and effectively maintain DocuSign's value within accounts. This leader should mentor direct reports individually while also building a strong cohesive, collaborative sales team. They are also responsible for monitoring forecasting efforts, customer satisfaction, and delivering on their team’s quota.

This position is a People Manager and reports to the Group Vice President of Sales and General Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan (based in Sydney, Australia). This position is Flex.


  • Grow DocuSign Gross New Monthly Recurring Revenue (GNMRR) and Pipeline for the Asia business across all customer segments (Small Medium Business, Mid Market, Major Accounts and Enterprise)
  • Become a figurehead for the business to ensure the highest levels of quota performance and customer engagement
  • Continually refine and implement changes to sales motions across both Install Base and New Logo customers
  • Work with cross functional business partners, APJ Senior Leadership and Asia sales team members to identify, test and implement new sources of revenue growth for the region
  • Assesses sales activities & forecasts to determine sales progress & required improvements.
  • Drive a consistent sales approach across teams, including multi-product selling, vertical market management, forecasting, prospecting within account base, negotiations, & other necessary skills
  • Maintain/protect DocuSign core values by hiring culturally aligned and diverse team members & leading by example
  • Maintain executive level customer relationships, and develop and implement strategies for expanding our customer base
  • Provide value in complex negotiations and closing new business, including appropriate use of senior sales and APJ executives to maximize results
  • Work with each team manager to develop and implement business and sales territory plans to achieve sales quota
  • Ensure the team effectively leverages sales tools and systems consistently and in alignment with DocuSign’s Rules of Engagement.
  • Communicates and prioritizes product and business needs from the field to appropriate corporate functions eg: Product, Engineering.
  • Identifies and supports opportunities for the training & professional development of department personnel.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS in a business or a technical related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 10-15+ years of leadership experience in technology and software sales
  • Proven experience in successfully scaling and building out new geographies in a fast paced market
  • Strategic sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple enterprise software offerings, while building satisfied, loyal and reference-able customers
  • Significant experience in managing on a day-to-day basis a sales business with a strong cadence of deal closure on a monthly and quarterly basis; track record of consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals.
  • Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization and establishing strong relationships across all functions.
  • Operates well in a fast paced, dynamic environment without requiring significant supervision.

Expected Competencies/Skills

  • Understanding of Asia market including Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and the Philippines
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective business, sales and vertical market plans across all Customer Segments and Account types
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership
  • SaaS based business application experience
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully resolve situations that are broadly defined, complex, diverse, and occasionally, unprecedented.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent operational/analytical skills - reporting, forecasting, data analysis skills; operations management experience
  • Willingness to travel 25% or more as needed (post pandemic)
