We are in search of a proficient and experienced Business Development Representative for an independent cost reduction consulting firm in North America.

The basic service our client provides is quite simple: they review all the services businesses use to communicate, process payments, dispose of waste, ship packages, utilize e-signatures, and track using electronic logging devices. They use a specialized tool to prepare a report summarizing these services and the costs incurred by their clients. They then provide them with solutions, advising them on how to improve their costs.

The company is in need of support in the area of sales - prospecting, lead generation, and communications/following up with potential clients. The main goal would be to generate warm leads and pass them directly to our client to close the deal. They are in search of a strong Business Development Representative; a sales professional with experience combing through existing contacts, as well as research and drumming up new leads.

As a Business Development Representative, you will be seeking new business prospects by contacting and developing relationships with our prospective customers. You will act as the first point of contact for our company. You will set up meetings for business-to-business collaborations.

To be successful in this job role, you must have hands-on experience in developing leads from marketing campaigns and fulfilling their sales quotas.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify potential customers

- Qualify leads from different marketing campaigns as viable sales opportunities

- Contact prospects via emails and cold calls

- Present the company to prospective clients

- Identify client requirements and suggest them with suitable products/services

- Come up with customized product solutions that will help boost customer satisfaction

- Establish long-term relationships with the clients

- Seek new business opportunities in the market proactively

- Coordinate with Account Managers for client status updates

- Submit reports to Business Development Manager on weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales results

- Keep updated about the latest business trends

Requirements:

- BSc degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field

- Proven 4+ years of experience as a Business Development Representative, Account Executive, or similar job role

- Experience in a lead generation role/ outbound sales/ appointment setting is preferred

- Excellent customer service skills

- Impressive communication skills

- Extensive experience with various sales techniques

- Proven record of achieving sales quotas

- Hands-on experience with CRM software like Zendesk Sell, Intercom, etc.

- Familiarity with MS Office – Excel in particular

- Sound knowledge of sales performance metrics

- Excellent negotiation skills

- Ability to deliver convincing presentations

- Good leadership skills

Additional Information:

- Work from home, remote role

- Part-time, 20 hours per week to start with a possibility to become full-time

- Must be available to work starting at 8:00 am EST onward (night shift)

- Must have complete home equipment setup (desktop/laptop, headset, internet connection)

- Has home internet speed of at least 5-10 Mbps
