Business Intelligence Analyst (remote) - Nexford University | New Day Jobs (Yangon, Myanmar)

Nexford University (NXU) is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who will manage all operational data across different platforms.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will gather data, conduct statistical analysis, create visualizations and reports to improve business decisions and daily operations for university leadership, academic support units, faculty, licensure, accreditation, and other stakeholders.

The primary areas will be on learner completion, churn, learner success, enrollment management, faculty planning, institutional costs and productivity, and benchmarking studies.

Key responsibilities

• Draw insights from data
• Help others draw insights, and make operational decisions, by creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations in Microsoft Power BI
• Create SQL queries to transform data as needed
• Work closely with other teams to ensure data and reports are accurate
• Assist in ad-hoc analytics/reporting requests for various teams
• Opportunity to work on advanced analytics projects and predictive models.

The ideal candidate

• Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Business with formal statistics training
• 3-6 years of experience in a Data Science or Data Analytics Role
• Proven statistical analysis skills
• Expert in Microsoft Power BI
• Strong SQL query writer and query optimizer
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Strong business acumen
• Great at translating data and technical-speak to product, academic leadership, senior support leaders, marketing, and engineering.
