Minimum qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience within a creative strategy, media innovation, or communications strategy role.
  • Experience working with a variety of big brands, and bringing conventional media planning and execution tactics to life.
  • Experience making innovation happen within the media space, across a spectrum of APAC markets (Japan, Korea, India, and/or Australia).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Creative-oriented strategic thinker with experience activating innovative creative media ideas in partnership with internal teams and partner agencies.
  • Ability to simplify and measure impact across all innovation touch-points.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with ability to influence cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Exceptional project management skills, managing multiple cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.

About The Job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

In this role, you'll be expected to go beyond standard media formats to conceive and execute breakthrough, digital-first creative ideas that will elevate the Google brand and priority Google products. You will enhance how we bring ideas to life by amplifying not just what we say, but critically how we go about saying it.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with creative, brand strategy, product and business partners to create and execute big, original digital-first ideas that will have a lasting impact on the Google brand across the APAC region and globally.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to develop inclusive, non-standard media executions through the intersection of culture, audience insights, media usage, and new technology for Google across APAC.
  • Take a leadership role in media and creative strategies to help marketing teams see the value in solid strategic and innovative thinking.
  • Partner with global creative and innovation strategists to participate in developing a global vision.
