Finance Manager duties and responsibilities of the job

Finance Manager job description should include, but not be limited to:

• Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information (reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements)

• undertaking strategic analysis (Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans) and assisting with strategic planning

• Analysing market trends and competitors’ financial performances

• Predicting future financial trends

• Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk

• Developing long-term business plans based on these reports

• developing and managing financial systems/models (controlling income, cash flow and expenditure)

• Developing Annual Projected Financial Statement (short-term: one-year plan)

• Set up and Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.

• Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken (Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvement. As appropriate, based on findings make proposal for operational changes i.e., policy, procedures, processes, etc.)

• Prepare, organize and develop the of the company’s annual budget from corporate level to departmental level.

• Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets (Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets)

• Maintain the financial health of the organization.

• Manage producing Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly financial statements by the deadline, correctly.

• Provide support to Operations group, through information analyses (e.g. current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior year, budget, etc.)

• Assisting Operations team in the Monthly Operations Review, identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements, annual budget process, periodic forecasting, and periodic analysis of operations performance

• Prepare monthly analysis of cost of goods sold and operational expenses against prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risks.

• Liaise with internal auditor(s) when applicable to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

• Maintain banking relationships

• Prepare and manage Periodical (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly as required) Tax Return calculation (Commercial Tax, Withholding Tax, Income tax, etc.) and Tax Payments.

• Deal with external auditors and tax officer to complete financial report and tax assessment.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Understand and follow company rules and regulations.

• Perform all other duties as assigned and required
