About The Job

The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.

Revenue Platforms is an exciting new team created to ensure that Google Pay can be supported to accept and send payments with full financial integrity. This team acts as the key point-of-contact on behalf of all of Finance to triage all the concerns and root problems, gather requirements, act as the key liaison with the Payments/Google Pay Products Product Management and Engineering teams, and work with the cross-finance teams to execute on the projects/programs (including coordination of testing and post-launch operations).

Working with internal stakeholders across Finance, Product Management, and Engineering, we rationalize finance requirements, prioritize requests and set the vendor, capability, testing and controls strategies for our Revenue Platforms. Join us as we prioritize, create and execute programs to drive major revenue platform improvements supporting Google's ambitious innovation agenda for Google Pay's expansion in region.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance and Engineering teams to create and manage the Revenue Platforms roadmap for Google Pay.
  • Be the representative of Finance in Engineering planning meetings for core Revenue Platform capabilities and business requirements.
  • Balance risks effectively to determine when and where to invest in the Revenue Platforms to create compliant, scalable, automated systems to support Google Pay in APAC.
  • Collect, develop, and rationalize business capability requests and convert them into clear, well-defined programs for our Program Management team.
  • Report out to Finance and Engineering the issues that prevent Google Pay products from being supported by our Revenue Platforms and that solutions are incorporated into the overall plan on a continuous basis.
