APAC Assistance is recruiting for two Geopolitical Analyst remote positions in the Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions. Only those candidates with suitable qualifications will be invited to aptitude tests.

 For the first round, the application portal will close on Tuesday, Oct 26. Aptitude tests will be conducted on Saturday, Oct 30. Candidates need to be comfortable working from home and need to have a stable internet connection with a computer and a mobile phone.

 EMEA based Geopolitical Analyst - Scope of Work and Job Description

APAC Assistance is recruiting an analyst specializing in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. The analyst should be able to cover the EMEA region and support the Asia Pacific team. The analyst will be required to replicate the APAC Assistance workflow from the Asia Pacific region for the EMEA region. The focus of the position will be to cover security, politics, and economic issues across the EMEA region with extended coverage of APAC as and when required. The analyst will be responsible for producing analytical reports, producing timely alerts and assessments, and supporting our overall operations led by our directors. We are a client-focused professional organization specializing in security and risk management services for multinational businesses and international organizations. We require a high level of proficiency in English and excellent writing skills.

The analyst is expected to meet the organizational and client requirements while demonstrating a high degree of professionalism, integrity, discipline, and maturity.

Previous experience in the security and geopolitical sector or any other affiliated fields will be preferred. The role will initially be remote.

Location: Remote position, work from home, however, preferably located in Kenya, Nigeria, Botswana, Cameroon, Mali, South Africa, and other countries across Africa or the Middle East.

 Candidates need to be living in the Africa or Middle East regions. Should have prolonged experience living in and citizens of one of the countries in the Africa and Middle East regions.

 The primary scope of work includes and will not be limited to:

  • Produce analytical reports.
  • Work with the info team on daily reports, assessments, and other info products.
  • Design and prepare maps, charts, and infographics using appropriate software.
  • Research and analyze geopolitical, economic, and security issues across the EMEA region and support other regions when requested.
  • Participate in briefings and conference calls.
  • Work on due diligence projects
  • Manage data and apply data analytic techniques.
  • Engage with the clients and assist with the risk management process.
  • Provide translation support when necessary.
  • Help the team and directors with research and operational support when required.

Skills / Background 

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a similar position or related field
  • Advanced comprehension and interest in geopolitical and security issues and their impact on the corporate sector and international organizations.
