Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy or similar environment, including finance operations and/or project management experience.
  • Work experience in financial operations, accounting or process design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in Finance, Industrial/Process Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience managing large cross-functional projects including identifying, assessing, and controlling risks on the revenue and payment operations side.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and influence leadership teams in both product areas and finance.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and process design skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with impeccable business judgment.

About The Job

The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.

Global Intakes is part of the Global Revenue Operations - Revenue to Cash Operations (RCO) organization. The Global Intakes team focuses on billing setup of new products and forms of payment within Google, the integration of business growth operations processes of acquired companies, and the intakes for the newly formed Tax Operations team. The team, as part of Business Controllership and Operations, manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Revenue to Cash Operations (RCO) in new products and systems implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams including other RCO teams, business controllers, engineering, cross-functional finance teams, and vendors to design and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Manage processes and projects from requirements and implementation phases through handover to operations team.
  • Consult with Google product areas to understand roadmaps and communicate business growth operations requirements, and ensure alignment and operational readiness to support business growth with controlled and efficient processes.
  • Partner with other RCO teams to develop scalable solutions for product areas that cannot be supported through standard operations processes.
  • Build, socialize, gain alignment, and execute strategy plans for your project portfolio.
