JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
The Global Poultry Category Leader - McDonald's Business Unit will lead a significant level of commercial impact for an organization with a global scope. In this role you will be responsible for setting the growth strategy for the category, leading in a cross functional organization, advising and making decisions with a medium to long term outlook. We seek a multifaceted professional to collaborate with our global teams to build our commercial engagement with the customer, identify innovative ways to grow and evolve our model, and execute those programs with significant financial impact, driving the growth agenda of the business.
Develop and utilize your world-class commercial skills to anticipate strategic opportunities with the customer, and to align our global organization to deliver unique solutions that help them achieve their growth aspirations, and for Cargill to grow share and profitability.
Work through our category core team, and their functional, regional network to translate the category strategy into a well-adapted go to market plan with clear ownership for delivering key growth initiatives, building capabilities and delivering enhanced value propositions.
Provide thought leadership, develop and recommend growth strategy for the category.
Establish and lead a virtual global category team to develop and deploy a go to market plan with well-adapted execution of a portfolio of growth initiatives by inspiring and handling performance to achieve targets.
Lead, shape and develop the innovation pipeline/program within the category and collaborate with research and development to deliver good outcomes lead or participate in other business development and strategy projects as required.
Responsible for overall growth of nearly 500 myn pounds, and over a $byn dollars of the global category. With growth aspirations exceeding 10% annually aligning to our business goals, and customer growths.
Other duties as assigned
Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for indirect reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Mastery of the English Language – written and verbal fluency
Minimum of eight years of related work experience with large strategic customers, five or more years of supervisory experience
Ability to be mobile as needed to connect with the customer how & where they need us. This will eventually require travel as needed, and following the lead of the customer.
Experience developing business in the Quick Service Restaurant industry
