Objective of the role:
The goal for this position is to drive exponential growth by boosting the lead generation of startups across APAC. You will have full ownership of the outreach strategy in your vertical to become the number one financial operating system for digital businesses in Singapore. The core responsibilities will be to hire/train/manage a Business Development team, develop a robust lead strategy and work closely with the commercial management team to launch new products that fit customers requirements.
Note: Aspire is looking to hire 2 different positions: Head of Business Development (Cards), and Head of Business Development (FX).
As the Head of BD for our card OR FX vertical, you will be reporting and working closely with the Head of Sales. Your mission will be to make Aspire the #1 Financial OS for startups in APAC.
- Growing our card OR FX vertical as a standalone business unit with well-defined performance targets in terms of growth
- Build, manage and train a business development team of overachievers focused on B2B card spenders (Cards) OR cross border payers (FX).
- Keeping a tab on latest developments in the industry and identify growth opportunities for the company
- Establish, build and nurture relationships with payment gateways/e-commerce associations/travel agencies/marketing agencies in Singapore
- Identify new sales and marketing opportunities for new products, features and customer acquisition channels
- Work along with sales teams to ensure that we deliver on the performance targets committed to our investors
- Track, measure, and report progress and performance to the head of sales
We would love to get to know you if you have the following:
- 7-10 years of experience spanning business development, sales, for a card provider (Amex/Visa/Mastercard) or payment gateway (PayPal/Braintree,Shopofy, etc.)
- Successful track record of hitting ambitious targets and posses wide network of digital companies across Singapore
- Experience in hunting B2B companies in South East Asia and digital companies in particular would be an advantage
- Ambitious, self-driven and highly motivated individual who can coach / mentor their sales team while establishing a healthy working culture based on the Aspire principle
- Exceptional communication and collaboration capabilities
- Ability to coach and guide teams on successful strategies to employ for success.
- High-energy, results-oriented, creative leadership approach.
