Position:   Human Resources - Assistant Manager (Plant)

Location: Shwe Pyi Thar Industrial Zone (1), Shwe Pyi Thar Township, Yangon, Myanmar

Job Purpose:  To drive Human Resources strategies, policies, smooth change management to plant and to ensure the most effective utilization of human resources and enhance the Organization Capability. 

Job Context & Challenges: 

- Drive and ensure human resources strategies are implemented for plant employees

- To Ensure statutory compliances for plant

- Develop human resources strategies and people systems which take care of change management , internal environment , external relations 

Functional linkages:

Internal: Plant leadership team, Quality , EOHS, STA and Finance team

Thailand office -HR, Finance, EOHS

External: Govt. Statutory Bodies, Local community , Industry Forums ,HR networking , Educational Institutions, Hospitals, Service providers 

Role & Responsibilities:

Change Management & Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Facilitate process of transition , Change Management principles ,Develop understanding about Colgate Values and culture
  • Facilitate understanding of team for Colgate processes , culture
  • Develop Positive Employee Relation strategy and implementation
  • Communication strategy (Monthly SF Meeting etc)
  • Labor strategy positively impacting business KPIs
  • Discipline and disciplinary process

Human Resource Development 

  • Recruitment , selection, and placement process
  • Employment contracts
  • On-boarding /induction
  • Retention strategy
  • People capability and Development – develop key skills
  • Performance management system 
  • People systems and processes and MIS

Compensation management

  • Inputs for Salary revisions and roll outs
  • Raise flags to compensation team for local developments in salary , turnover rates
  • Monitor Wage and salary administration
  • Rewards and recognition implementation

Personnel Management

  • Personnel and general administration
  • Statutory compliances
  • Contractor management –legal and services

Environment Management

  • Liaison and proactive networking with Govt. / Statutory bodies
  • Networking with HR Fraternity ,Industries forums
  • Link with Education Institutions , Hospitals , Administration , Service providers

Generic Competencies:

  • Essential: Communication skills , Analysis/decision making, teamwork and collaboration, influence/negotiation, Relationship building, Developing and coaching people
  • Desirable: Strategy and vision, Leading change

Qualification:

  • Essential: Hands on experience in employee relations and dealing with plant employees
  • Desirable: Experience in both supply chain and commercial HR
  • Min 6 -10 Years of work experience in HR
  • English speaking is a must
  • Working experience in the Plant or Manufacturing areas will be a plus
