Job Description


  • Brand management: Plan and execute above the line activities
  • Trade marketing: Plan and execute below the line activities
  • Product management: Planning, forecasting and development of product and POSM
  • Research: Assure sales analysis and reporting, marketing intelligence through market surveys
  • Overall portfolio development: Ensuring a total portfolio of brands generating long term growth for the company
  • Commercial business development: Developing new commercial opportunities via own innovation or 3rd party partnerships/ brands
  • Management of licensed brands
  • Part of CSPL Management Team

 Tasks & Activities:

Marketing/ Brand – Planning Strategy

  •  Drive the preparation of the annual CSPL marketing vision/ objectives/ strategy/ plans to ensure the achievement of the overall CSPL commercial objectives and strategy
  • Develop a strategic framework for every element in the marketing-mix (media, price, distribution, sponsorship, promotion and creative/ advertising development strategy, use of agencies)
  • Marketing/ Brand – Performance evaluation/ optimization
  • Pick-up on and analyze market reactions (primarily consumers) and results of initiated marketing activities and ensure corrective action if targets are not met (including optimal use of marketing budget)
  • Follow up on development in brand profitability and volume
  • Ensure excellent below-the-line activities linked to sales growth and profitability
  • Continuously optimize all processes regarding brand/ trade marketing activities and A&P expenditures

CSPL Management Team

  • Develop and drive strategic and commercial agenda of CSPL in cooperation with GM and management team
  • Participate in relevant management meetings and meetings with customers, suppliers and partners

 Business development

  • Drive development of innovation pipeline
  • Analyze market and identify potential opportunities on 3rd party products/ brands
  • Oversee launch planning/ implementation and support activities for range extensions

 Develop team and organisation

  • Continuously evaluate employees and conduct performance reviews.
  • Build talent pipeline and succession planning for the Marketing function. 

 Participate in the development of creative PR-initiatives

 Participate in relevant Carlsberg Group forums for best practice sharing/ implementation

Education: Degree holder in Business Administration, Marketing or similar

 Language: Fluency in English, Able to communicate (read, write, and speak) in Burmese is a plus

 Experience: 10 to 12 years total seniority in marketing/ commercial roles, minimum 3 to 4 years senior management/ leadership experience, experience in local/ international beer industry.
