Minimum qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as a people manager managing a team.
  • 5 years of experience in partner management, project management, product management or a similar technical operations role.
  • 5 years of experience working with external partners to identify technical issues and find resolutions.
  • Experience in TV and digital technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in TV or digital streaming video technologies in APAC with the ability to articulate, implement, advocate, and shape emerging industry standards.
  • Experience identifying and incorporate emerging industry trends and standards.
  • Proven track record of successfully balancing multiple timelines, partners and priorities to drive timely and effective project execution.
  • Ability to navigate complex conversations to drive results between stakeholders with potentially competing priorities.
  • Fluency in Japanese or Korean and English to support and communicate effectively with Japanese, Korean and English-speaking clients.

The TV and Media Industry is changing and our team is focused on building the future of premium subscription content at YouTube. Our operations team works cross-functionally across engineering, product, business development and finance on a variety of initiatives spanning across YouTube TV, emerging content subscriptions and more. We are looking for proactive and passionate leaders who can help us scale operationally and support new product and partner launches.

As a YouTube Partner Engagement Manager, you are a proven operations leader with a passion for shaping the future of premium media, a knack for efficiency and experience mentoring a team. You will utilize your deep video technology experience, industry expertise and existing relationships to advance YouTube’s global strategy. You will collaborate with many cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to build a team that delivers high quality TV & media experiences for our users and partners.

In this role, you will cultivate a team that is highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, diligent planning and tracking progress of key milestones, all while developing and maintaining deep relationships with our partners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a leader who is passionate about YouTube and next generation media offerings, is an excellent problem solver, concise communicator, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to keep the team strategically focused.

  • Lead a team that is on the front-lines of the onboarding and ongoing operations relationships with some of YouTube’s most strategic TV & media partners.
  • Leverage your TV & media industry expertise to identify and cultivate new content and technology opportunities and provide regular partner intelligence updates to cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure the team understands and represents YouTube’s technical interests during partner contract negotiations and can identify potential operational risks / mitigate those risks via cross-functional collaboration and creative problem solving with our partners.
  • Drive collaboration with internal teams to refine existing processes and tools used by partners and operators.
  • Partner with our Product, Business & Strategy teams to identify new partnership opportunities and support the operational needs for the region and product. Create and manage partner onboarding timelines for APAC.
