Job Description

Responsibility (Job summary):

  • Developing and regularly updating the project programs to help achieve the project goals within realistic time frames
  • Review and administer construction schedules and plans which are submitted from contractors
  • Create, maintain, review and administer client construction schedules and plans when necessary
  • Constantly liaising with managers, engineers and all teams member to discuss the progress of the project and address / flag out any issues that arise
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development
  • Preparing necessary reports to management and authorities associated with the project

Key areas of responsibility (in conjunction with and direction from the project manager) :

  • Calculating the duration, possible delays and links between all different activities in design, permit applications, procurement and construction
  • Contributing in programme meetings to help find solutions to work the programme out to fit into stakeholders’ requirements
  • Prepare and send information required by Project Director and disciple/team leaders, Consultants
  • Review and evaluate the Master/Baseline Programmes submitted by Contractors and prepare clarification questions
  • Review and evaluate the contractor’s weekly and monthly progress report
  • Prepare monthly programme and reports, and ad-hoc reports as required
  • Review and evaluate sequence of works in contractor’s programme where the works are in line with project milestones
  • Check, and update progress on site on regular basis
  • Generating charts and diagrams with available information for analysis purposes
  • Prepare EOT analysis where necessary and letters for progress of works
  • Attend and explain programme related matters that arise from public complaints, and authorities
  • Present planning related information to the team at internal meetings as well as stakeholders
  • Coordinate programmes with other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or construction related subject
  • Min 10 years’ experience of planning and programming of mid to large scale projects
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and other planning/programming software
  • Proficient in window analysis and forensic review of delays
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Fluent in English language, written and spoken
  • Experienced in multicultural workplaces, and ideally SE Asia/Myanmar experience
