Project Management Office (PMO) - Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

A key component within the Project Management Office (PMO) team, to manage and track the projects and products governance activities. Work with the PMO Leads to track the portfolio of major projects and products across the Technology Division. Work with the Project Managers to ensure conformance of the projects to the Project Management Framework and suggest improvements. Manage some projects and/or initiatives undertaken by SPH Technology teams.

Job Description:

Day-To-Day Tasks:

● Responsible to ensure that the Key Projects and Product delivery list is maintained

● Responsible to track the key milestones of the projects and product development

● Responsible to ensure that regular and timely progress update is obtained from the Project Managers

● Responsible for preparing the portfolio dashboards and reports for management review

● Produce regular metrics reports and updates for senior management

Process / Improvements:

● Communicate with PMs and other staff on the PM Processes and Templates

● Maintain the PMO processes, Project and Product related Roles and Responsibilities

● Perform periodic checks on projects to check the process compliance status

Job requirements:

● Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or a related field

● 3-5 years of experience in IT Project Management and PMO domain

● Hands-on experience in handling Technology projects that follow the Waterfall and Agile Lifecycle

● Good experience in managing IT projects and creating Project Management documentation

● Good communication skills to be able to work with Project Managers and HODs

● Have an Agile mindset and knowledge of Agile methodologies

● Experience in Software Quality Assurance and Process Improvement domains is an advantage.
