Our team is looking for a Regional Finance Director for ERA.

Job Description

Manage all financial aspects of the Group of Companies located in Southeast Asia (ERA

offices in Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Laos & Cambodia) including Cash Flow, Budget, Profit & Loss

Coordinate with monthly or quarterly internal auditing, monitoring, and maintaining the ongoing actions

Manage the External Auditor relationships and ensure the organization is compliant with accounting standards

Manage Finance Dashboard and any supporting financial models for each major ERA office and ensure that the financial model is used for revenue forecasting, budgeting and included in strategy

Liaise with Government Tax Authorities, Local/International Auditor and tax advisors

Be a strategic leader in fulfilling shareholders’ expectations by being involved in business planning, budget planning, cash management, corporate governance, and system integrations

Implement the best structures and policies in respect of finance operating procedure (including billing, invoicing and others) for the organization’s long-term growth, recommend and implement improvements to ensure reporting accuracy and correctness to increase efficiency and effectiveness of business operations as a department leader, coach, and mentor to the team

Oversee material requirements for Financial Planning and Reporting as well as Monitoring (Profit & Loss, Budgeted Cash Flow, Variance between budget and actual, Variance between previous and current period)

Responsible for preparing the finalized Financial Statement (true and fair basic) and presenting it to the BOD

Control and monitor the Fixed Assets, both in registers and in physical form

Have a strong knowledge of Local Tax (Myanmar) and International Tax such as Commercial Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Stamp Duty, Capital Gain Tax, and others

Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements

Develop team members by managing performance, delegating, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationship

Provide advice to finance team on any potential issues regarding client contracts and review terms and conditions in agreements, quotations and scope of work for smooth billing/invoicing

Communicate with and maintain proper relationships with external clients as well as internal account teams to ensure proper billing/invoicing and other documentation as needed

Appraise the organization's financial position and analyze current and future risks by providing periodic management reports on financial stability, liquidity, and growth with sound recommendations to the BOD and senior management team

Monitor and update the company with any changes to financial policies & accounting standards according to IFRS and IAS, notify changes and compliance to all finance staff and amend the procedure aligned with those changes

Share financial knowledge with Senior Management (ERA Myanmar’s COO, Directors, and Regional Directors) as requested

Provide training in respect of taxation, budgets, IFRS and credit management

Oversee financial reports based on investors’ requirements

Job Requirements

The role of Regional Finance Director is very senior; hence a high level of experience is expected for anyone applying for this role

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Accounting certifications (CPA, ACCA) are highly desirable (MBA is preferred).

10 years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-regional company, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.

Good command of English.

Must have strong communication skills.

A familiar & strong knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) is an advantage.

Must have a thorough understanding of GAAP principles and IFRS working knowledge.

Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, MRP, ERP, and accounting systems such as Xero.

Strong business and financial operational experience in a Group of companies.

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff in Southeast Asia.

Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
