Overview

This is a strategic role at a very important time as Cradlepoint expands across the APAC region. This position will be the lead Solution Architect facing partners driving enablement and skills into the selected partners in Malaysia. The Sales Engineer will support the partners in positioning Cradlepoint technology and solutions, will be the initial point of contact for partner CTO's and sales teams. He/She will be the link person between the partner technical and sales teams and the Cradlepoint selling teams in any given account or vertical. He/She will work side by side with the SEA sales team who are mostly based in Singapore to date.

Enterprise and Public Sector are fast growing segments in our industry across the APAC region. The development of Enterprise class partners to address this opportunity is in early stages of development for Cradlepoint. We need a strong technologist and technology evangelist to drive onboarding, enablement and pipeline creation to meet company revenue expectations and partner growth. Cradlepoint requires the creation of a community of partner SE's, Architects and CTO's in order to support the scaling of our business through the channel.

Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer/Solutions Architects supports sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base and partners with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles.

The Sales Engineer is responsible for selling into new prospects as well as farming back into existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels. Measures of success include new customer acquisition rates, renewal rates, up-selling, cross-selling, customer satisfaction and contribution to overall sales team and business success.

  • Support sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity
  • Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
Qualifications
  • Preferred - Bachelor of Science
  • Experience in a complex sales environment
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Confident self-starter with integrity and accountability; a track record of consistent achievement
  • Decisive problem-solving ability and capability to assess people and situations with accuracy
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Sales Engineer/Solution Architect with system integrator and reseller partners
  • 5+ years of experience building or supporting edge enterprise branch routing, security and wireless solutions
  • Proven track record selling networking, wireless or security solutions into enterprise accounts, system integrators, and reseller partners
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Confident self-starter with integrity and accountability; a track record of consistent achievement
  • A strong aptitude for business strategy and excellent collaboration skills
  • Must currently reside in the region
  • 2+ years working with Cradlepoint solutions preferred.
  • 5+ years working with LAN/WAN network topologies and interworking (ie. MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • 5+ years working with Enterprise, Carrier or Public Wi-Fi solutions (ie. Motorola, Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus)
  • Solid understanding of 5G, LTE, 3GPP(HSPA+,LTE)/3GPP2(EV_DO) Broadband Wireless Data Architectures
  • 5+ years working with Virtual Private Network Solutions and Technology
  • 5+ years working with Network Management Solutions
  • 5+ years working with Network Security (ie. UTM, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SBC, ACL, NAT)
  • Knowledge of working with Python, JSON, RESTful API’s, and Docker to build applications and scripts for networking functions preferred.
  • Experience with network performance testing platforms like IXIA and Spirent is a plus
  • SD-LAN/SD-WAN experience
  • Knowledge of managed services ITIL
  • Cradlepoint, Cisco, or other industry certifications at professional level or above.
  • Cradlepoint Certified Network Expert Certification is preferred.Should have practical hands on experience or strong knowledge in one or multiple areas
