The Sales Manager (Industrial & Commercial) reports to the General Manager (Sales & Marketing) and is responsible for implementing a comprehensive Sales & Marketing strategy to support the business objective of NS BlueScope Lysaght Myanmar.


  • Lead, direct, govern, produce sales activities including managing Team to achieve business goals
  • Create sales strategy to increase sales volume, margin, revenue and actively develop new segments/markets
  • Achieve market leadership in coated steel products for company’s long term growth
  • Responsible for accuracy between sales forecast and actual result
  • Optimize market intelligence to win the competitions
  • Manage customers and projects to achieve sales targets and enhancing market growth
  • Accountable for promoting products and executing sales to meet our customers’ requirements and expectations
  • Prepare status reports, including activity, closing, follow up and sales potentials of products
  • Ensure satisfactory service quality for customer by regular follow-up. Identify and solve customers’ concerns that includes providing and explaining technical information of the products
  • Develop relationship with new and existing customers including regular visits according to visit schedule
  • Develop and maintain competitor database (product & distributor)
  • Update information to keep abreast of competition and the latest technical development in the products
  • Coordinate with company staff for all related matters to accomplish the sales activities including following up with customers for any irregular credit
  • People management, provide quality time and commitment to coach and develop the Teams

Qualification and/or experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related field would be an advantage
  • Ideally a minimum of 8 years relevant experience including people management experience
  • Steel or building construction material business background would be advantage
  • Strong communication, relationship building, selling and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, driving results, resilient and customer service orientation
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Must possess own vehicle
