Senior IoT Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Participate in the software technical design and development that meet the IoT solution specification
• Report and liaison with IoT Architect and collaborate with other stakeholders for Agile software development, integration, prototype, unit test, quality assurance and deployment
• Able to solve complex problems in the Industrial IoT ecosystem
• Design, develop and test firmware and application for IoT embedded systems and IoT edge gateway
• Able to do research and evaluate emerging IoT technologies and platforms
• Ability to create prototype device from business requirements using multiple boards
• Collaborate with vendor for PCB design and manufacturing process
• Ensure best coding standards, design patterns and code review process for projects and products
• Assess third party and open-source software / libraries implementation.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
• Solid programming experience in programming languages like C/C++ and Python for/in IoT embedded systems and edge gateway
• Experience using multiple embedded system as Raspberry Pi, ESP32, Jetson Nano, ARM dev board, etc.
• Experience with embedded peripherals including CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, Modbus, DMA, timers are beneficial,
• Must be able to work across different tiers – UI/Interfaces, API Integration, IoT programming and Edge Analytics
• Knowledge of databases like MySQL, PostGreSQL, NoSQL is a MUST
• Familiarization of Agile DevOps CI/CD pipeline
• Understanding of emerging IoT technologies and communication protocols such as: BLE, LoRa, Z-Wave, LPWAN, NB-IoT, Protobuf communications, MQTT, AMQP, CoAP, IoT Hub, WebSocket, HTTP
• Understanding and implementation of Apache Kafka and related technologies will be bonus
• Understanding of electrical components, PCB design and layout using software as KiCad, Altium Designer, Eagle is a plus

We do full remote working, but you have to be ready once we implement WFO.
