We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Senior Technical Advisor (TB) for an anticipated USAID Burma TB and HIV Integrated Activity .
Position Description
The Senior Technical Advisor TB (STA-TB) will serve in a leadership role in areas of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of TB and provide technical leadership to assist the National TB Program (NTP) and the Directorate of Disease Control in efforts to end the TB epidemic in Myanmar. This includes support in areas including finding the missing people with TB and improving access to TB services from wherever people seek care; implementing successful TB prevention programming; support the NTP to introduce better treatment regimens for multidrug resistant TB (MDR-TB); work closely with the NTP, USAID and other stakeholders to successfully implement the project in Burma. The STA-TB will be responsible for providing technical assistance in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of TB while building strong linkages between TB and HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs. S/he will build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders and the program team in the design, integration and implementation of TB programs and TB-HIV integrated services based upon FHI 360’s best practices, international evidence and USAID, WHO, and/or country-specific strategies and objectives.
The position shall be based out of Yangon, Burma. The recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project to FHI 360 and final USAID approval of the candidate.
