The SEO Content Writer is responsible for developing, creating, and enhancing a key element of any SEO marketing strategy – unique content. Consistent, high-quality content works on several levels to improve a website’s ranking on search engines and increase brand awareness, as well as provide consumer knowledge.
This position is responsible for creating SEO-friendly content for online publication. The writer will create numerous articles and website content for Wallex. They will also peer-edit articles along with the rest of the team.
The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate writer who enjoys research and creative thinking while possessing a flexible, team-motivated attitude. Since SEO is an ever-changing environment, willingness to learn and adapt along with current best practices is key.
The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of SEO best-practices and keyword strategies and be a strong collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This position reports to the Head of Marketing.
The main duties of an SEO content writer include:
Ability to write keyword-rich content that reflects established tone and voice guidelines
Perform keyword research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities.
Audit content and structure of websites and provide recommendations for SEO improvement.
Manage ongoing calendars for social media and content development in coordination to support Social and SEO strategies and objectives.
Create marketing content within the company's brand voice for other media including email campaigns and social media.
Crafting compelling content for our websites
Ability to implement SEO best practices in relation to content creation
Researching keyword and topic opportunities for emerging content and trends within the industry
Content Writers must have demonstrated writing experience, professional and/or academic. They have experience writing for a web-based audience as well as a working knowledge of search engine optimization best practices and how they apply to content marketing.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related degree program
2 - 3 years of SEO experience optimizing website content with a strong knowledge of best SEO practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A working knowledge of SEO, Social Media Advertising, and Digital Marketing
Basic knowledge of HTML
Creativity & resourcefulness
Extreme attention to detail
The ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
Ability to work both within a team and independently
Flexibility to evolve strategies quickly & effectively
Knowledge of Mandarin to liaise with Chinese counter-parts will be an added advantage
Experience in Wordpress and Blogger (preferred)
