We’re building Zapier for Data Analysis

We’re on a mission to create the best last-mile data analysis platform the world has ever seen. As a part of the core engineering team at Airboxr, you’ll be working on sophisticated data pipelines and backend infrastructure to execute this mission. This is a full-stack role though, so expect some UX/UI work interspersed with systems design and implementation.

We're quite literally changing the way people use spreadsheets today. Imagine all the pain a typical business analyst goes through to analyse data where they have to collect, clean and organise data from various third-party data sources. We remedy that by creating a data automation platform that lets you analyze data across different sources without having to write a single line of code.

We're proudly a remote-first and hands-off organization. All we need from you is to take ownership of your work and be as excited as we are about what we’re building here. Our rule for meetings is simple. If something's taking too long to explain over slack, we jump on a call. Everyone on the team is in charge of helping our users, we do not have a customer service department—we’re all customer customer service reps, right from the founders to interns.

Tech Stack

Our frontend is built with React and MUI, written in Typescript. Our backend APIs are built with NestJS (also written in Typescript) that talk to a PostgreSQL server, hosted on GCP.

You can probably tell that we prefer strongly typed languages and opinionated frameworks. That's because we want to build a real product that scales well, not a prototype that barely works.

Requirements

What matters most to us is a learner's mindset and some real experience (internships, projects, etc) you can draw on. It will help if you're familiar with most of the following things already:

• Opinionated server-side application development frameworks
• SQL and ORMs
• Typescript & React

The following is also important, given that we'll be collaborating remotely:

• Familiarity and comfort with online communication through multiple channels (Slack, Zoom etc.).
• Ability to communicate thoughts and opinions clearly in written and verbal communications.
• Ability to think critically and form opinions based on information available.

This role is suited for fresh graduates.
