VP Marketing  

hoolah is a fast growing company leading the way in the buy now pay later space. It is currently operating in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia with plans to expand further throughout Asia.

Due to our rapid growth we are looking for a VP of Marketing to work closely with our COO and leadership team. The VP of Marketing will be responsible for leading the company’s regional marketing activities across Asia Pacific including Brand, PR, Performance, Growth (Consumer & Merchant). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a marketing leadership role, with a proven track record of building both the art and science of marketing.

Are you ready to be a hoolahgan?

  • Working with the COO and Leadership team to help develop and drive hoolah’s marketing strategy; aligned to our overall company strategy
  • Build and lead a team of creatives and data driven marketers across brand, PR, and digital growth roles for consumer and merchant
  • Work closely with country GMs and Marketing Directors to align regional / country strategy and provide expertise on scalable tactics
  • Work with countries to ensure that the marketing strategies are executed flawlessly
  • Bring together multiple stakeholders and help to drive decisions
  • Ensure the local needs are clearly understood and supported, and to leverage/share learnings from other markets
  • Creating systems and processes to streamline marketing operations
  • Be our leading customer advocate, ensuring everything we do is customer centric on both B2B and B2C marketing fronts
  • Plugged in to the BNPL landscape, with ability to plan effectively while also responding to the situational needs as they arise

  • 15+ years of marketing experience with 5+ years in marketing leadership
  • Experience in b2b2c marketing will be an advantage
  • Regional APAC experience will be an advantage
  • MBA will be an advantage
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals and a high level of business acumen
  • Expertise in Digital marketing, Brand Strategy, Insights and analytics, and Innovation planning
  • Create a high-performance work environment that maximizes business results and opportunities for team growth and development
  • Ability to think strategically, identify trends and opportunities and communicate this effectively across the organization
  • You will have strong persuasion skills and be an effective communicator; have the ability to create and communicate a compelling vision internally and externally
  • Ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of the organisation, and with external partners (agencies, etc.)
  • Work with people from all backgrounds and geographies
  • Desire to learn, learn, learn
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Work independently but appreciate that team is vital to succeed
