Purpose: The Data Specialist (Insights) purpose is to help ONOW achieve its intended impact through data, analysis, and product quality. The role will focus on gathering and deriving insights from data and user/entrepreneur feedback in order to assist management in knowing target customers better and improving tools and systems.

 

Key Activities: The DS ensures ONOW is designing, collecting and maintaining clean data over time. The DS is also responsible for creating reports and dashboards, and analyzing data to share observations to management. The DS reviews data systems and offers areas of improvement. The DS will also advise on digital tool quality assurance processes to ensure that ONOW designs appropriate and accessible technology solutions. The DS will directly report to the Director of Design and be responsible for fulfilling requests for program and project leads.


IMPACT MEASUREMENT


  • Organizing and cleaning collected ONOW Impact data.
  • Creating and maintaining live dashboards for KPI, Incubator, Tech and Projects.
  • Making sure weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports are complete and shared with the group.

DATA DESIGN AND COLLECTION


  • Planning and determining data needs at the start of a project.
  • Design Collection process and tools for data.
  • Design and implement a Data Dictionary for each project.
  • Design data collection maps for projects based on customer journeys.

DATA ANALYSIS


  • Design of charts and infographics for rapid feedback loops.
  • Analyzing data and creating written insight reports that include recommendations for action steps.
  • Suggesting improved data systems and processes for ONOW.

PRODUCT TESTING


  • Organizing user testing of new products and programs.
  • Rapid collecting and analyzing user feedback for suggested changes


PERFORM OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS NECESSARY


Qualifications

  • Any bachelor’s degree
  • Previous work experience or self-study course in Data Analysis
  • Fluent in Burmese, Intermediate English for report writing needed

 

Skills Needed

  • Good organization, strong analytical skills, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, 
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, PowerBI, Tableau.  
  • Good communication skills in both writing and speaking, 
  • Flexible, persistent

  • Maximize cash flow by aggressively adhering to the project invoicing schedule and ensures the team accurately documents and submits all receivables, quantity as-builds, change orders and claims.
  • Create project cost estimates and negotiate with subcontractors. Negotiate with the owner initiated extra work, change of scope items, and contract deletions to maximize profits.
  • Establish regular communication with the customer, deal team and subcontractor teams to guarantee a smoothly run project, continuously resolve issues, and ensure that all stakeholders are up to speed on the project.
  • Regularly report projecting manager/project director/managing director on project metrics to forecast of cash flow and revenue recognition.
  • Serve as primary site-level customer contact during the project execution phase.
  • Ensure that project is constructed safely and in compliance with site. Work with HSE officer / HSE Manager on audit and safety evaluation process.
